ROTACON WOOD SPLITTER
The wood splitter is 3 point linkage mounted using a hydraulic top link.
Wood is handled only once. The machine is driven close to where the log was cut when splitting, each cut produces two pieces which fall into the bin.
When one bin is full (1 cubic metre) the tractor is driven to the bulk storage or a truck and the bin is emptied at 2400mm (8ft) height.
A counter keeps track of the number of times the bin is emptied. A normal working rate is 5 metres per hour.
The opposing double A-Frames make the machine very rigid. The support table is spring and shock absorber mounted allowing the block of wood to open up as it is split, and the ram has three positions to which it can be mounted allowing different speed versus force combinations.
The heavy cylinder rod makes for fast retraction.
Suitable for tractors from 60HP (front weights required).
