ROTACON HARVEST CHASER As well as designing and building agricultural equipment, Rotacon owns and runs its own farms. This gives the Rotacon designers the opportunity to recognise and record the limitations of existing agricultural equipment and to work on a NEW solution to these limitations. In operating conventional Bin Chasing equipment, Rotacon designers were able to work out "a better way".  The result of our design work is the Rotacon Harvest Chaser, the last word in tipping agricultural harvest collection trailers. Made from 3mm thick high tensile steel, 40 m3 capacity or 18 tonne payload the Rotacon Harvest Chaser is designed to optimise productivity without compromising safety for the farmer or agricultural contractor. It is packed with features, many of which are exclusive to Rotacon: - A remarkable 15 second stable tipping action (Patent Application No. 2005905391) ensures high productivity and allows for steep over centre tipping, a huge advantage on silage stack use. - The tipping pivots are all greaseable 50mm bronze bushed pivots. The safety tipping ram design requires oil pressure to lower, preventing any accidental or unintended lowering. - Easy loading featuring trampoline style hungry boards (Patent Application No 2005905381). The front and or back parts can be folded back depending on the application and the hungry boards can be easily lowered for safe and legal road transport. With the front part of the hungry board folded back and the drawbar suspension lowered, the first runs in a maize field can be made following the harvester. - Strong running gear, spring suspension and hydraulic drawbar suspension to optimise speed of the tractor/trailer combination both loaded and unloaded. The hydraulic drawbar suspension ram, connected to an accumulator can also be used to level the trailer for accurate weighing, to adjust for drawbar heights on different tractors and to achieve extra (extreme) tipping angles. This extreme tipping feature is useful for mainentance, allowing acess to tailgate and ram greasing points from the safety of ground level. - Load Cells and weight indicator ensure maximum loading is achieved every time. These are coupled to a ticket printer providing details of date, time and weight for high quality recording and ease of billing. - Rotacon's AABS (Agricultural Anti-lock Braking System) (Patent Application Number 2005905393) adjusts trailer braking to the tractor's deceleration regardless of the trailer load. - Easy conversion to grain tipper using Rotacon's exclusive "clip on flexible grain chute" (Patent Application Number 2005905379). Conversion can be done within minutes. This can be used to empty directly into ground level bins or to supply an external auger feeding into a farm silo. This ensures complete discharge and eliminates the need for panel removal for clean out between crops and for the operator to climb into the bin (and thereby exceeding "health and safety" height limits). - In addition the Rotacon Harvest Chaser can be easily converted to a self contained grain chaser bin. A 350mm auger and gravity chute system (patent application no. 2005905693) can be fitted in minutes. This allows the Rotacon Harvest Chaser to discharge into trucks or field bins or farm storage and provides unloading rates of 2 to 3 tonnes per minute using tractor hydraulics or 4 to 5 tonnes per minute with PTO driven hydraulics. - High intensity halogen working light for the operator to view the loading operation at night. - High quality and long life LED lighting for road transport lighting requirements. - Dimensions: o Length 7.0 metres o Width 3.0 metres o Height 3.7 metres (Hungry boards folded down) o Tare Weight 6 tonnes o Payload 18 tonnes The Rotacon Harvest Chaser will comply with road transport regulations in most states and countries.
